Description

Our client is an Australian private equity backed company that has grown both domestically and internationally despite the impact of the pandemic. To maximise the recent growth and to drive compliance, our client is looking for an ambitious tax manager to lead a newly created stand-alone function and perform high-quality tax analysis across a number of jurisdictions.
  • Provide hands-on leadership of a new, stand-alone, internal tax function
  • Lead the engagement with external advisors
  • Ensure tax compliance and maintenance of tax documentation
  • Prepare and local and international tax returns 
  • Provide analysis of all key tax issues
  • Review payroll tax annual reconciliations 
  • Recommend best practice processes to the CFO and Group Financial Controller
  • Develop the existing controls and governance framework to ensure that all Taxation requirements are met
  • Maintain and grow external relationships with key stakeholders and key suppliers 
The criteria for the candidate profile that we are looking for includes: 
  • CA or CPA qualification 
  • Initial Big 4 training preferred
  • Strong knowledge of relevant local tax legislation 
  • An understanding of non-Australian tax jurisdictions would be an advantage
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise 
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills
