Due to their continued growth and success, they have an opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator to join their business. This role will stretch and develop your skills and experience.

The Senior Systems Administrator designs, supports and maintains the clients global (AU and US) corporate network and systems infrastructure, including; Managing servers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, DHCP, DNS, IP phone systems, while continuing to improve the existing environment and implement any further expansion.

The stuff you'll do:

  • Be accountable for availability and uptime of corporate network infrastructure and systems
  • Provide architect and design networks for current and future sites
  • Administer Active Directory
  • Design, install and configure servers, network devices and firewalls
  • Maintain all network infrastructure, both physical and virtual
  • Collaborate and liaise with vendors
  • Continually improve network security
  • Monitor corporate infrastructure
  • Provide a continuous service and be an available point of contact for all employees
  • Ensure all documentation is up to date
  • Assist Desktop Support Specialist(s) with system support, upgrades and maintenance
  • Provide mentorship to Desktop Support Specialist(s)
  • Provide support at 2nd and 3rd level

What you'll need:

  • 3-5 years systems administration experience
  • Solid background in network administration and architecture
  • In-depth understanding of networking, and networking protocols
  • Familiarity with access control models and network security
  • A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
  • Experience of managing deployments/rollouts
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2008/2016), Active Directory/LDAP and Group Policy
  • Excellent Linux/UNIX administration skills
  • Familiarity with AWS and related services/products
  • Wireless networking and security
  • IP telephony
