Description
In this high profile role the primary purpose will be to effectively manage the current and future property portfolio of the Port Authority in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
You will achieve this by:
- Identifying and implementing strategic initiatives to improve property precincts and asset utilisation for the benefit of the Port Authority, its customers, and the community.
- Manage tenant license's and leases and assist with their negotiation and preparation.
- Grow Customer Service satisfaction by promoting the Customer Service strategy and Port Authority values.
- Ensure property portfolio is optimised and managed in line with corporate strategies with respect to enhancing value and performance and maximising return on investment and cash flow whilst improving customer satisfaction
- Assist commercial negotiations of future lessees and licences of the Port Authority’s property portfolio.
- Lead property growth with a focus on customer service whilst introducing sustainable initiatives aligned to business strategy
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams, including internal resources and external contractors
- Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders including community, government agencies and tenants to identify and manage expectations consistent with the strategic outcomes of the Port Authority.
- Prepare, review and monitor property budgets and financial reports.
- Provide support to General Manage Customer Service Deliver and Senior Commercial Manager along with preparing reports for the Executive, Board and Portfolio Minister on precinct issues and strategies.
- Review and update Property Management Processes, Systems and policies
- Ensure compliance with legal guidelines and internal policies.

- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline e.g. Property Management, Commerce, Surveying and/or Economics
- Extensive experience in managing a property portfolio involving a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience in managing precincts holistically including stakeholder relations, property and asset management functions
- Proven high level negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience in managing interrelated complex strategic property issues
- Administer compliance of existing and future commercial leases and licences.
- Ability to prepare and compile documentation for Executive, Board and Ministerial approval;
- Demonstrated ability to understand the allocation of land spatially.
