Our client

Our client is a leading property group that has experienced strong growth in recent years. With a dynamic and respected leadership team, the group has an ambitious growth plan that will see it further cement its position and expand its Australian presence. Due to this growth plan they have the need for a Senior group Accountant to support them for a period of 6 months.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare individual and consolidated Group Statutory Financial Statements;
  • Prepare consolidations for the Group companies, board presentations and analytics;
  • Preparation of technical accounting papers and significant transactions accounting memo impacting the businesses;
  • Prepare/ compile consolidated and individual tax effect accounting for all companies;
  • Participation in system and process improvements;
  • Participation in projects as assigned;
  • Monthly and quarterly reconciliations as assigned
  • Review works performed by offshore accounting team;
  • Assist with preparation of Group Finance budgeting and quarterly forecasting;
  • Other ad hoc projects as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors’ Degree in a relevant subject (accounting, finance, business or commerce)
  • Membership of CPA/CA or equivalent 
Required Experience
You will have a proven and demonstrable track record in:
  • Financial accounting and reporting with a large organisation or a proven track record from Big 4 Audit 
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver objectives
  • Experience in developing, tracking and reporting financial and non- financial information
  • Advanced Excel skills
