Job Description



As the Senior Financial Accountant you will be reporting into the Finance Manager. In this role you will be, largely responsible for the business' revenue streams; including revenue accounting and the operations supporting this.

It is an excellent opportunity for a strong candidate looking to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the drive and initiative to look to improve the efficiency of processes and procedures. The role will work closely with other finance teams and have excellent exposure across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Completion of month end journal and reconciliations, for timely reporting to Head Office and shareholders
  • Month End / Quarter End analysis and reporting to shareholders, and understanding of results
  • Key support for business projects and initiatives including system implementations and process improvements
  • Key advocate for process improvement and removing manual process
  • Assistance in the annual statutory financial reporting and audit process, including liaising with audit team
  • Collaborating with broader business finance teams including Tax, FP&A, Commercial etc
  • Coaching and support of junior members of the team; including review of work



Your capability

  • 5+ years' experience and CPA/CA Qualified
  • Professional services background, as well as industry experience advantageous
  • High level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with figures
  • Strong understanding of relevant Australian Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards; knowledge of US GAAP and SOX beneficial
  • Experience in coaching and leading a team
  • High level of competency in using ERP Systems, as well as Microsoft Office tool set/ Excel
  • Flexible and adaptable to a fast paced and continuous improvement environment
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
