One of Australia’s leading privately owned Investment firms is looking to appoint an Infrastructure and Security leader to take full ownership of the strategic direction of the Infrastructure/Security function. The role will sit as a 2IC to the Head of Technology and a pivotal hire to support their growth.
With executive sign off for many projects in the next 12-18 months, we’re expecting an outcome focussed individual to hit the ground running.
THE ROLE:
- Design and execute short plus long-term strategic plans to assure infrastructure capacity attains current and future needs
- Work with Head of Technology and the Regulatory team to ensure Information Security compliance with regulators from different jurisdiction, whilst implementing IT continuous improvement programs
- Present to clients and group Board on IT infrastructure and security and contribute to papers and policies
- Interface with business unit managers to define infrastructure support initiatives and solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness
- Define and manage an IT disaster recovery strategy
- Help to design, implement, and maintain the firm’s cyber-security plan
- Direct the installation and use of security tools (e.g., firewalls, data encryption), to protect sensitive information
- Ensure that IT security audits are conducted periodically or as needed (e.g., when a security breach occurs)
- Ensure the infrastructure team is mitigating, monitoring and managing infrastructure related risks
- Ensure appropriate security levels on network, infrastructure and servers are maintained
- Manage two direct reports currently responsible for desktop support and infrastructure maintenance
- At least 10 years of IT experience in architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management and infrastructure planning and operations, preferably within an asset management firm
- Understanding of Cybersecurity standards like CPS234, ISO27001, NIST Framework, etc (Knowledge of various Cybersecurity tools, e.g. SIEM, Vulnerability systems, etc)
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft stack technologies, Virtualisation (HyperV), and Azure cloud technologies
- Knowledge of on premise and Azure Active Directories
- Innovative, strategic head who knows how to build relationships and get things moving (conceptualising creative solutions as well as documenting them and presenting them to senior management)
- Knowledge of Network and Storage (SAN) architecture
- Strong communication skills, ability to formulate strategy and execute
