The Opportunity

Our client is an ASX 100 listed company and can boast a huge track record of success.  The finance team is led by some of the strongest mentors in the domestic market and the context of their business activity will provide an incredible landscape for the next stage of your finance career.
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious candidate, who can translate their strong technical accounting knowledge into the commercial arena.  This role will suit a Big 4 trained auditor who has either audited or prepared the statutory accounts in an ASX listed environment and someone who has the ability to effectively communicate at all levels and drive continuous improvement across policy, reporting and systems.

Key Responsibilities 
  • Deliver the statutory and management reporting
  • Lead the development of finance process, systems and reporting in a consolidated group environment
  • Lead the preparation of the half-year and full-year statutory reporting 
  • Drive the audit process and liaise effectively with external advisors
  • Deliver monthly financial reporting and commentary
  • Ensure the completion of all tax compliance activities
  • Deliver the consolidated financial report, forecast and budget
  • Continually develop the group reporting process to maximise the process
  • Provide the technical leadership on non-BAU activity including M&A and divestments
Required Experience
  • Big 4 trained Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience
  • Experience within a consolidated, ASX listed group environment (either within Audit or Commerce)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and the willingness and ability to advise on accounting policy
  • A proven track record in problem solving and analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
