Job Description

  • Lead the group finance team – 10 direct reports
  • Support the business through a period of sustained growth 
Our client is a highly successful ASX listed business with a truly global footprint. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, with a dotted line to the CFO, you will be responsible for financial governance, leading the team and supporting the organic and strategic growth strategies of the company through what promises to be an exciting period.
Responsibilities include:
  • Managing a group finance team of 10 (across financial accounting, revenue, payables and collections)
  • Managing external reporting, including tax compliance and audit of annual financial statements
  • Working with Finance Managers and team members in various global offices to ensure timely delivery of the monthly, quarterly and annual accounts.
  • Support the Group FC in the preparation of the annual group budget and ongoing forecasts
  • Providing a technical lead on accounting standards and ASX compliance (especially transfer pricing, revenue accounting and hedge accounting)
  • Oversee the management of the month-end review process of all balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss results for budget and forecast
  • Managing the Group consolidated forecast on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis

Candidate Profile
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree and CA qualification
  • Originally trained in a Big 4 / Top Tier Audit environment
  • Commercial experience in a technical financial accounting role in a listed environment
  • Team leadership and strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience within a company during a period of growth
  • Ability to effectively manage change in an evolving environment
  • Strong commercial and analytic skills
  • The ability to continually improve processes and controls to drive a positive commercial outcome.
