The Royal Motor Yacht Club Broken Bay, is ideally situated on the beautiful waters of Pittwater and is widely recognised as one of Australia’s premier Yacht Clubs. All members enjoy the restaurant, bars and heated pool which complements an international class marina facility catering to all sizes of watercraft. With a 100 tonne slipway and a variety of marine trade services on site most boating services are catered for at the Club.

Talent Web is supporting RMYC in recruiting an end-to-end Finance Manager leading a finance team of 3.  Reporting to the CEO, you will balance the day-to-day transactional finance requirements of a business of this size, with the provision of robust financial reporting and solid management information.

Core duties include:
  • Provision of monthly board reports
  • Full oversight for monthly management and financial accounts
  • Preparation of the annual statutory accounts
  • Management of relationships with external advisors (IT, accountants and banks etc)
  • Negotiation of key supplier agreements
  • Management of a small finance team including the financial accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll staff
  • Management of a complex payroll function for both full-time
  • Responsibility for the accuracy of the payroll for full-time and casual staff (including the adherence to several awards)
  • Drive continual improvement across the finance function (process and reporting)
Preferred candidate profile: 
  • CA or CPA qualified (Essential)
  • Strong technical accounting skills 
  • Experience within a similar-sized organisation 
  • Experience within an end-to-end senior finance role
  • Strong people leadership skills
  • A pro-active and hands-on approach
  • Experience in maximising small-tier financial systems (eg, Sage, AccPac, Xero, MYOB, Xero)
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills (internal and external)
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Experience of delivering continual improvement within an end-to-end finance role
