My client is the fast-growing Australian subsidiary of a large overseas technology and services business and they are looking to hire a technically literate Business Analyst to support the CFO. You must be equally effective in discussing technical IT language as interpreting stakeholder requirements to understand fully the reporting requirements of a nimble and accelerating business environment.
Responsibilities
- Build / design / adapt / refine / improve / financial reporting and analysis using Excel and Power BI
- Develop standard financial reporting to answer ad hoc queries
- Create meaningful reports using graphs, tables and trend lines
- Set-up and design of reporting requirements, in consultation with local business and the overseas head office
- Assist in the facilitation of new Head Office reporting requirements
- Analyse raw data, translating it into actionable and communicable insight
- Work closely with Technology, Finance & Marketing teams (as well as the group functions) to streamline reporting requirements
- Understand operational implications, interpret the business needs
- Other Ad-hoc analysis
Candidate Profile
- Degree qualified in a related discipline
- Understanding of tech IT thinking and can converse effectively in this world
- Ability to build financial reports in a commercial setting
- Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills
- Commercial mindset to extract meaningful actions from the data analytics
- BI Reporting / Dashboard building experience
- SQL report writing
- Passionate about working in a fast-paced
- environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Not afraid of challenging the status quo
