This role works with clients to resolve issues, create comprehensive and timely solutions and provides customer service and support during field visits to ensure maximum efficiency.

The Field Technician is a vital member of the Information Technology Operations team responsible for deployment and support of a variety of system implementations. This will involve installation of hardware and software solution components including implementation and testing through to operational production, ensuring client satisfaction

Responsibilities for this role:
  • Manage assigned tasks and workload in accordance with technology service levels 
  • To investigate and resolve a broad range of technical issues and incidents and determine the appropriate actions and resolutions 
  • Manage incident escalations, priorities and impacts to ensure speedy IT service restoration  
  • Responding in a timely manner to end user issues and requests 
  • Providing technical end user and system support  
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and organisation information 
  • Adhere to all processes and procedures relating to the workplace health and safety of self and others 
Key Challenges  
  • Ensure change control and uptime standards are adhered to for all critical services while maintaining  service availability of production systems and infrastructure services 
  • Provision of strategic cost effective solutions for legacy systems and services 

 Suitable candidates will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in Field Service Support
  • Knowledge of ITIL Practices around Incident, Service Request, Problem and Change Management
  • ITIL Certified – Foundation Level with other certification or Associate Diploma desirable
  • Proven experience working with Windows server and workstation implementation, administration and maintenance experience.
  • Experience in the implementation and configuration of system, middleware and enterprise application software
