Job Description

This varied, exciting and challenging role exists within an early-stage SaaS growth company. Ther business that aims to optimize business telecommunication investment. It has been in operation for several years and has grown to circa 28 employees with further plans to rapidly expand. They have quickly built a customer base of more than 150 organisations from a cross section of industries and have seen consistent growth in revenue.

As DevOps Engineer you will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. It will be your responsibility to maintain the performance and availability of the platforms you support. You will enjoy joining a nimble, Agile team in an organisation where you will have a significant impact. 

You need:
  • Solid experience with building CICD pipelines using tools like TFS / TeamCity / Octopus Deploy
  • PowerShell skills - Scripting & Automation
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure / AWS
  • Experience of working in multi-tenancy SaaS applications (ideal)
  • Empathy and a passion for users, customers and their partners 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, and inquisitive approach to your work, and the ability to learn quickly
You will:
  • Perform effective code reviews
  • Develop strategies for HA, DR, deployments and rollbacks
  • Develop escalation strategies for always-on support
  • Lead development of monitoring solutions
  • Design and build deployment pipelines in collaboration with the engineering team
  • Help support the diagnosis of production issues when they happen
  • Educate the engineering team about tools and best-practices
  • Recommend and assist with architectural changes to improve site performance and reliability
