Job Description

As DevOps Engineer you will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. It will be your responsibility to maintain the performance and availability of the platforms you support. You will enjoy joining a nimble, Agile team in an organisation where you will have a significant impact. 
This role exists within a business in the Telecom space which has been in operation for several years and has grown to circa 26 employees with further plans to rapidly expand. They are a fast-growing mobility management and TEM platform whose software product helps organisations remove workflow inefficiency and expense wastage from their mobility processes and telecom spend. They have quickly built a customer base of more than 150 enterprise organisations from a cross-section of many industries using their platform and have seen consistent YOY growth in revenue.

You need:
  • Advanced PowerShell skills- Scripting & Automation
  • Experience of working in multi-tenancy SaaS applications on VM and database deployments
  • Solid experience with building CICD pipelines using tools like TFS / TeamCity / Octopus Deploy
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Empathy and a passion for users, customers and their partners 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, and inquisitive approach to your work, and the ability to learn quickly
  • A Degree in Computer Science
Additionally, you may also have:
  • Azure and/or ITIL certifications
  • Experience with migration projects to Azure DevOps framework
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. CloudFormation or Terraform) for a modern cloud infrastructure approach
You will:
  • Perform effective code reviews
  • Develop strategies for HA, DR, deployments and rollbacks
  • Develop escalation strategies for always-on support
  • Lead development of monitoring solutions
  • Design and build deployment pipelines in collaboration with the engineering team
  • Help support the diagnosis of production issues when they happen
  • Educate the engineering team about tools and best-practices
  • Recommend and assist with architectural changes to improve site performance and reliability
