Job Description
This role is responsible for managing and organising the environments master data set, monitoring for trends or inconsistencies that will impact business goals, as well as to troubleshooting data issues. This function provides specialist advice, assistance and operational support to schools within Sydney and internal departments on a range of matters.
The environment we represent are in the process of building a modern, Cloud based data warehouse solution, which should lead toward AI based Education over the next 3–5 years. There is an existing relationship with a third-party provider who helps in understanding their current data set and where they are and where they would like to be. As Data Engineer your role be roughly split and 60% hands-on and 40% coordination. You will essentially be the foreman of this build, applying logic and sound reasoning in order to ensure that the right solutions are being provided.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree with major course work in Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field.
Essential Technical Requirements:
Any of the following current Microsoft SQL server certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Data Engineer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Data Scientist Associate
- Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA) in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 / 2012
- Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE): Data Platform
- MCITP: Database Administrator 2008
- MCITP: Database Developer 2008
Environment:
