Test Automation, Software Engineering, Project Management and Consulting is crucial to the success of a newly created and urgent Automation Architects position within one of the world's leading Software Testing organisations.

As an Automation Architect you need to define implementation strategies, develop concepts, implement prototypes and plan out engagements. You will work primarily in a customer facing environment and must be comfortable, credible and display excellent communication skills in order to be a success. You will also host training sessions with customers to transfer knowledge and improve their expertise. Our ideal candidate is a creative thinker, has strong solution engineering skills and can apply expertise to solving technical problems. The Architect will then also translate the solution into its business plan for implementation.

You will:

  • Automate test cases for various different technologies and customers
  • Configure server and client components of the system
  • Be responsible for development of rollout and deployment automation
  • Provide product training and best practices to clients
  • Develop creative solutions for complex problems in limited time
  • Provide effort estimations and feasibility assessments
  • Help to mature internal processes and share your expertise
  • Hold webinars and other forms of (massive) online trainings
  • Mentor and coach new hires
  • Develop test (automation) strategies for customers
  • Plan implementation engagements and balance out team workload
  • Explain complex technical challenges to customers
  • Act as a technical solutions architect in customer projects
  • Monitor budgets, provide status reports

You'll need:

  • B.S./M.S. in computer science or software engineering
  • 5+ years professional experience in a software role
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with DevOps, Agile and Waterfall development practices
  • Experience in technical solution architecture
  • To be communicative with excellent presentation skills and a consultative attitude
  • Experience in IT consulting and/or implementation/deployment of commercial software for customers is a plus
  • To be calm under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills (debugging, tinkering)
  • A willingness to travel on a regular basis in Asia-Pacific (~50%)
  • Experience in IT consulting and/or implementation/deployment of commercial software for customers
  • Experience in software quality assurance and testing - particularly test automation is a plus
  • Fluency in English
