Job Description
This reputable national project management business is currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team. The APM will assist the Senior Project Directors on a number of varied health, education, commercial and government projects throughout Sydney.
Applicants must possess 2 years post-graduate experience working in a construction project delivery environment. Exciting projects and a fast paced environment where the successful candidate will gain hands on knowledge and have the opportunity to progress into a project management role. Ability to work efficiently in a team as well as autonomously is necessary.
You will have immediate exposure to a large hospital project which is currently on site and going through close out stages before moving on to large projects in design and planning phases
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Project Director on the following:
- Managing health and hospital projects
- General administration as directed
- Contract Administration / Review
- Initiating planning strategies
- Liaising with authorities
- Procurement
- Tender Processes
- Implementing and improving company procedures
- Key stakeholder, project team and client liaison
About you:
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Ability to think on your feet
- Strong relationship building skills
- Organized and detail orientated
- Enjoy fast paced environments and work to deadlines
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a project delivery environment
- Excellent Contract Administration - GC21 experience highly advantageous
- Preferably a degree in a related field (i.e. project management, construction management, engineering or quantity surveying)
