Description

This leading global asset management and investment firm specialises in real estate, with an extensive track record of both delivering new-build hotels and repositioning existing hotels.
 
Currently there is a new opportunity for an asset manager to join the group. The role will support the Asset Management Division in managing existing hotel assets and assist in investment analysis of new acquisition opportunities.
 
The primary objective of an asset manager is to oversee hotel operators to ensure the investors investment is maximised in both the operating performance and capital value of the property, while ensuring the physical condition of the hotel asset is maintained.
 
The position will be responsible for a portfolio of assigned hotels. The number of assets in the portfolio may vary based on complexity and growth of the company.
 
The role reports directly to the Director of Investments and Asset Management and requires constant collaboration with other functions, including hotel operators, funds management, corporate finance and development and legal.
 
To be considered you will have: 
  • 5 plus years’ experience in real estate asset management/ ownership, finance, operations or relevant property investment and development consulting.
  • Hospitality working experience in hotel operations and finance, or hotel valuation or relevant consulting is highly desirable.
  • Tertiary qualifications in hospitality and/or real estate finance, or real estate management or
  • Investment and valuation background with good knowledge of hotel operations.
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills, proficient in excel, data entry and management
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with others to achieve common goals.
  • Tasks and process-driven with proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering on goals.
  • Team player, organized, as well as comfort in working independently.
  • Self-motivated and ability to multi-tasks.
  • Excellent computer literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient with specialised forecasting software and other financial related modelling packages.
