    Pick out your top 5 \u201cmust haves\u201d and what you are prepared to be flexible on<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Talk to your current employer about potential opportunities on the horizon<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Use linked in, referrals etc to find 2 \u2013 5 people who are doing the exact role you want and ask them how they got there (people love a bit of flattering)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    MAKE A PLAN \u2013 be clear and definitive about what you want and how you are going to get there<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  6. \n

    Understand the difference between passive and active job seeking and decide where you sit and what you need to do to \u201cget found\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Work on your BRAND.\u00a0 What makes you better than your peers?\u00a0 What do you stand for and how do you add value?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Update your Linked In profile\u2013 don\u2019t make it hard for us to find you.\u00a0 Put in systems, training, achievements etc for us to search on<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Ask around and get referrals to 2 or 3 recruiters who specialise in what you do and meet them prepared to make an impression which is better than average<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Work at it, put time into your search, do your research and practice your interview questions.\u00a0 Don\u2019t be a passenger!!!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
