{"id":2667,"date":"2023-12-13T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-13T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/talent-web.applyflow.site\/wheres-the-feedback\/"},"modified":"2023-12-13T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2023-12-13T00:00:00","slug":"wheres-the-feedback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.talentweb.com.au\/wheres-the-feedback\/","title":{"rendered":"WHERE&#8217;S THE FEEDBACK?"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<h4>Feedback is a daily-used word in the recruitment world, and the more exposure to it you have the more you realise how important it is \u2013 particularly in a day to day sense.<\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We live by it as recruiters.\u00a0 Both good and bad &#8211; positive and negative &#8211; beautiful and not-so. It\u2019s a part of the gig and one that you learn to deliver with a certain level of tact for every scenario it has to be offered in.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As time goes by in this job, you realise more and more the importance of internal feedback in the work place and the importance it can have on staff retention and overall contentment within a team. The power of \u201cwell-done\u201d, \u201cI really appreciate that\u201d or a simple \u201cthank you\u201d cannot be underestimated.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to candidates every day, we unfortunately hear how under-valued and generally \u201cin the dark\u201d people feel at work all too often. So many good operators doing a great job, but due to a lack of recognition or feedback, they are going home doubting their output\u00a0and feeling generally invisible within their role. Equally, this is often a shame for the employer as well. The employee is often highly valued and would be a loss to a business and a team if and when,\u00a0they leave for pastures greener.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h4>Providing constructive feedback is one of the most valuable things I\u2019ve received throughout my career personally.<\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a platform to clearly understand where your shortfalls are and how to improve on them\u00a0to be better at your job. Delivering such information is where the true skill and value lies. Most importantly, the information should always be delivered from a trusted source. Being told that you have done something incorrectly, or could have done it\u00a0better\/more efficiently is often a hard pill to swallow, so making sure it comes from a source of trust is crucial. If not\u00a0it can\u00a0create more fear \u2013 so handle with care, but nevertheless make sure you handle it!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As well as constructive feedback \u2013 positive reinforcement of a job well done is of great value. Keeping staff acutely aware of how well they are tracking\u00a0will maintain a measuring stick of what \u201cgood\u201d work is.
