What you can expect:

  • Your consultant will conduct a thorough candidate telephone screening to gain an understanding of your current situation, aspirations for future employment, key strengths and areas for development.
  • Your consultant will discuss salary requirements, notice periods and your other recruitment activities in order to ensure that you are correctly aligned and have equal opportunity in the selection process.
  • You will be provided with a copy of the job description and be invited to discuss the position, its potential and its challenges to make sure it fits your expectations.
  • During face to face interviews your consultant will ask you a series of behavioural, technical and competency based questions relevant to the requirement. At the conclusion of your interview, the recruiter and your consultant will discuss the suitability of the role and agree on the next actions.
  • Your consultant will prepare you for client interviews, you will be advised of the environment that the interview will be held in, the position titles and the names of client representatives you will meet as well as the structure that the interview will take.
  • Your consultant will encourage interviewing candidates to be well informed as such they are asked to study the Linkedin profiles of the client representatives they will meet, to spend time researching the client history and to study relevant news articles / annual reports which may be available.
  • Structured interview feedback is taken at the end of a client interview, your consultant will discuss how you think it went, where you felt the interview was challenging and how you would approach the role if successful.
  • Timely feedback is essential due to the time and effort that you invested in this role. You will be updated regularly with the progress of your application even if no official feedback has been received.
  • Offers and acceptances are dealt with in a timely and sensitively manner and resignation templates and advice is available from your consultant at each stage. We will help you resign in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Our official ‘Post Placement Review’ is a support service developed to assist you with your transition from candidate to employee. Your consultant should be seen as a trusted advisor and will look to offer you a forum to speak in private about your new environment and an opportunity to discuss areas that could be improved within your role. You will be given advice on how to manage this transition and, where instructed, your consultant will also seek to bridge any gaps with you between you and your new employer.
